it的用法
They got a baby and it was very lovely.
Someone is knocking at the door. It must be Jim.
A:Who is it?
B:It’s me, Mary.
It is (was) …that (who) …。
如:
He bought a shirt at this shop yesterday.
It was he who bought a shirt at this shop yesterday.
It was a shirt that he bought at this shop yesterday.
It was at this shop that he bought a shirt yesterday.
It was yesterday that he bought a shirt at this shop.
It’s no use talking about it now.
It’s important to know your own limitations.
It is said that thirteen is an unlucky number.
I find it easy enough to get on with Pam.
I took it for granted that you would stay with us.
4. 某些及物動詞(如 like, love, enjoy, prefer, hate, appreciate等)之后若沒有出現(xiàn)賓語,而直接跟 if/when 引導(dǎo)的狀語從句,要在從句前使用代詞 it。如:
I like [love] it when you sing.
I dislike it when you whistle.
I hate it when Jane cuts up in class.
I’d appreciate it if you could drop in tonight.
I should prefer it if you did not go there alone.
It seems that John dislikes his boss.
It happened that the harvest was bad that year.
It doesn’t matter if you can’t find her.
